I have been involved with dogs nearly all my life. My first breed of dog was a Cocker Spaniel, I later began showing and breeding American Cocker Spaniels.  My wife Lyn and I have bred and owned Akitas and our Zaminka Samoyeds, which are well known throughout the world. Dogs either bred by us or owned by us have won over 70 Best in Shows at All Breed Shows.  We have also bred, owned and raced several thoroughbred horses. Having a good eye for a dog is not unlike having an eye for a good horse.  At the age of 18 I was the Secretary of The Gundog Society and a founding member of this club.
My Club involvement goes back a very long way. I have been:
Secretary/Treasurer for the Cocker Spaniel Club (at the age of 18),
Secretary/Treasurer of the Gundog Society (being a foundation member of this Club).
Assistant Show Manager of the NZKC National Dog Show,
Committee member of The Wellington Management Committee,
Secretary of the Wellington Judges Committee and President of Horowhenua Kennel Association
President of The Samoyed Club for 8 years.
Currently I am Secretary for the Hutt Valley Kennel Centre, Life Member of The Samoyed Club Inc.
I started my judging career with the Gundog Group and then Utility, Non Sporting , Toys & Hounds. I am currently aspiring to the Working Dog Group.
My dog-history started when I was young. In my family we had Tibetan Spaniel and Miniature Pinscher. My interest
in schnauzers started when I bought a Giant Schnauzer male 1972 and a year later we also had a bitch in the house.
My clever breeders persuaded me to show my dogs. Both became champions and my dog-interest intensified.
1975 I bought my first Miniature Schnauzer, a salt and pepper male from USA. He was excellent and did a lot of
winning, for example he was once BIS in a big specially show.
1975 I also had my first litter of Giant Schnauzer and some of the puppies grew up to be very good dogs and a
couple of them even became champions.
1978 I bought two black ”minis” from USA, a male and a bitch. They were both excellent dogs and the male was also
doing a lot of winning and he very often was BOB over all other colours, very unusual at the time. This black dog
proved himself to be a very successful stud-dog too. Some years later I hade two other black ”minis” from USA. They
also were excellent dogs, especially the bitch this time - with BIS-placing at international FCI-show.
In the eighties I bought some dogs from England, black and black and silver and some years later I had a white bitch
from Hungary so I have had Miniature Schnauzers in all four colours in my kennel. I started breeding Miniature
Schnauzers 1978 and I am very proud to say that my breeding has produced a lot of champions. For some 10 years I
also had Standard Schnauzer black.
I have also for long had interest in Affenpinscher and had my first one, a male, in 1990. Today I have a small
breeding also in Affen.
My kennel prefix is Impact’s.
From the eighties I also have some experience of showing, grooming and breeding Border Terrier and Irish Terrier.
I am a licensed FCI judge since 1987 and since 2006 authorized for all breeds as FCI all rounder.
I have had the privilege to judge in all Scandinavian countries including Island and in Russia, Latvia, Estonia,
Lithuania, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Poland, Italy, Malta, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Switzerland,
Ireland, England, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, South America, Thailand, Malaysia, China and Japan.
I have for many years been a member of different committees like National Kennel clubs and the Giant schnauzer club
and I have been the chairman of the Swedish Schnauzer-Pinscher club for 10 years. For all that I have been honoured
with the Swedish Kennel Clubs badge for merit in gold.
At the present I am a member of the Swedish Kennel Clubs judges committee and also the chairman of the Swedish
Affenpinscher Club.

My first are all champions and in my first own breeding litter are two on the way to gain their titles soon I hope.
I,v been working as a professional groomer for more than 40 years.

I was authorized as FCI judge in 1996 for spaniels and I do now judge all FCI 10 groups. I am approved by the Swedish kennel club to be All Rounder. I have judged in most countries in Europe including Russia and England and I do judge at least 25 shows every year.

I have been working in different clubs for many years. Poodle club, Swedish Spaniel and Retriever club and I have been president in the American cocker spaniel club “ACC” for six years. At the moment I am Vice President and in the judge committee of the West kennel club “Västra kennelklubben” in Sweden and organizer of  IDS My DOG 4 days show in Gothenburg and our national summer show.
