This trophy is awarded to the winner of the Local Open Sweepstakes Class held at the Macalister Kennel Club show. The trophy was donated by Kathy Stockwell after the passing of her Grand Champion Foxhound 'Nixon' in 2002. Nixon was the club's first dog to achieve a Grand Champion title.

This trophy was first offered in 1973, after the death of Barbara Traill in 1972, and is awarded to the winner of the Local Open Sweepstakes class held at the Sale-Maffra & District Kennel Club show.
Barbara was a successful breeder of Shetland Sheepdogs and first suggested the idea of a local members competition in the 1960's. It is not known how many years this competition ran, but the committee of 1997 decided to reintroduce the Members' trophy after the donation of a suitable trophy by Kathy Stockwell.
